We are looking for a Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer who is eager to lead and transform our platform development efforts. Key Responsibilities: • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to O365 services and their integrations. • Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, taking proactive steps to mitigate potential issues. • Design and implement integrations, connecting O365 with other applications and systems via APIs and web services. • Automate administrative tasks and workflows using PowerShell or other scripting languages. • Create and maintain clear documentation and training materials for end-users. • Focus on the operational aspects of the platform, diligently remediating any vulnerabilities. • Collaborate closely with the Architecture team to ensure alignment with the latest architectural standards and configurations. • Foster a culture of innovation by promoting automation, embracing new technologies, and encouraging diverse thinking. • Implement best practices to enhance the overall user experience of the platform. • Work alongside software engineers to ensure seamless software functionality on the platform. • Engage with product owners to comprehend desired application capabilities and corresponding testing scenarios. • Continuously enhance platform engineering practices while identifying and mitigating risks proactively. • Collaborate within Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a comprehensive tech stack. • Stay updated on technology trends, experiment with new tools, and mentor fellow engineers in the community. • Lead teams, both directly and indirectly, in developing strategic approaches for the platform while ensuring alignment with Capital One's Well Managed initiative. • Utilize scripting languages such as Python and Bash effectively. • Employ container orchestration services like Docker and ECS, as well as configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform. • Collaborate with stakeholders to tackle complex business opportunities and guide decision-makers on larger initiatives. Basic Qualifications: • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification. • At least 4 years of experience with build and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory). • A minimum of 2 years' experience with AWS or Azure. • At least 4 years administering Microsoft O365 or a similar enterprise productivity suite. • 4 years of experience in Integration Projects: Designing, implementing, and supporting integrations for Microsoft O365. • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with cloud computing concepts including SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • 6+ years of experience with build and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory). • 6+ years administering Microsoft O365 or similar enterprise productivity tools. • 4+ years of scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash). • 4+ years working with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK. The base salary ranges are as follows: McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800, Plano, TX: $144,000 - $164,400, and Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400.
