Title: Senior Data / ML Engineer (Python & Java) Location: Atlanta, GA - Onsite - Local Only Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Python development, AI/ML model training, and modern DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable systems using containers and orchestration tools, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and processing high-throughput data streams. 8+ years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Java. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments. Practical experience in training AI/ML models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar. Hands-on experience with data streaming and processing tools such as Snowflake, Kafka, Apache Flink, or Apache Spark. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) is a plus. Experience of working in a very high rate of change and quick learning environment Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems with a primary focus on Python (priority language) and Java (secondary language). Train and deploy machine learning models, including preprocessing, training, validation, and performance tuning. Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment workflows. Design and maintain data streaming and processing pipelines for real-time and batch data applications. Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance through code reviews and best practices.
