About the Role INVEXOS is seeking a Junior Full-Stack Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You'll work closely with our mid-level and senior engineers to build business-critical systems including AI/ML, CRM, financial data integration, and reporting platforms. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience building real products that directly impact our business operations. Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future What You'll Do • Feature Development: Build new features across our tech stack, from database to UI, under the guidance of senior engineers • API Integration: Help integrate third-party services and ERP systems into our platform • Bug Fixes & Maintenance: Troubleshoot issues, write tests, and improve existing codebases • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality • Database Work: Write queries, design schemas, and optimize database performance with mentorship • Collaborate: Work directly with product and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions What We're Looking For Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from a reputable university OR • Experience: 1-3 years of professional software development experience at a top-tier tech company (Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Stripe, etc.) • Programming Fundamentals: Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles • Full-Stack Basics: Experience with at least one backend language (Python, Node.js, or Go) and React (preferred) or similar frontend frameworks (Vue.js, Angular) • Database Knowledge: Understanding of SQL, relational database concepts, and familiarity with NoSQL databases. • Version Control: Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows What We Value • Fast Learner: Ability to pick up new technologies and concepts quickly • Self-Starter: Proactive about asking questions and seeking solutions • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills • Attention to Detail: Pride in writing clean, well-tested code • Growth Mindset: Eager to receive feedback and continuously improve Nice to Have • Internship or project experience with business applications (CRM, ERP, SaaS) • Understanding of API design and REST principles • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Familiarity with financial data or accounting concepts • Previous startup experience What You'll Learn Working at INVEXOS, you'll gain experience with: • Building scalable AI-enabled backend systems and APIs • Designing databases for complex business workflows • Integrating external APIs and third-party services • Writing production-quality code with proper testing • Working in an agile, fast-paced startup environment • Understanding how technical decisions impact business outcomes Mentorship & Growth • Direct Mentorship: Work closely with our mid-level and senior engineers who will provide regular guidance and code reviews • Real Responsibility: Own features end-to-end (with support) rather than just fixing bugs • Learning Budget: Resources for courses, books, and conferences to accelerate your growth • Clear Path: Opportunity to advance to mid-level engineer as you demonstrate growing independence Work Arrangement • Location: Chicago, IL (required - no remote) • Schedule: 3-4 days a week required in-office (Gold Coast/River North Chicago) for collaboration and mentorship Compensation & Benefits • Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience and background • Equity: Equity stake in a growing company What We're Building You'll be working on systems that include: • Business applications that drive PE operations • Relationship management tools • Financial data integration and reporting platforms This isn't about building trivial features—you'll work on real, complex problems that matter to the business. Requirements
