Title :- DevOps Engineer Harness Implementation Specialist Location :- Atlanta, GA and Louisville, KY (Hybrid Need locals with DL Copy) Job Type :- Contract to Hire Job Description:- We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with hands-on expertise in CI/CD workflows and Harness platform implementation. In this role, you will design, deploy, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration across development, testing, and production environments. You'll be instrumental in automating software delivery processes, establishing enterprise standards, and driving operational excellence. 2 years of GCP Experience Key Responsibilities CI/CD Pipeline Development: • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Harness to streamline build, test, and deployment processes. • Migrate Groovy-based Jenkins pipelines to Harness, leveraging frameworks for efficiency. • Optimize deployment strategies, including blue/green deployments, canary releases, and rolling updates. Tool Integration and Management: • Integrate Harness with tools like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Docker Hub, Artifactory, and Splunk. • Ensure seamless connectivity with testing and security tools (e.g., Selenium, SonarQube) and establish quality gates. • Collaborate with teams to integrate pipelines into monitoring, observability, and analytics tools. Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): • Automate tasks using Python, Bash, or Go. • Utilize Terraform or Pulumi to ensure reproducible infrastructure provisioning. • Extend Harness capabilities through custom scripts and templates. Cloud and Kubernetes Expertise: • Develop Kubernetes-based deployments on GKE, EKS, or AKS. • Implement multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud CI/CD strategies with service mesh technologies like Istio. • Collaborate on cloud cost-optimization strategies with FinOps teams. Monitoring and Incident Management: • Use Harness Insights, Prometheus, or Grafana to monitor pipeline performance. • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures. • Establish post-deployment health checks, rollback mechanisms, and continuous verification processes. Security and Compliance: • Implement secure CI/CD practices, including RBAC, secret management, and compliance checks. • Leverage tools like HashiCorp Vault for secure credential management. • Ensure workflows comply with standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR. Collaboration and Leadership: • Work closely with development, SRE, and cloud teams to integrate CI/CD into the SDLC. • Mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices in DevOps and automation. • Align pipeline processes with business goals and cost efficiencies. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: • CI/CD Expertise: Hands-on experience with Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD. • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go. • Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure. • Kubernetes Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, and auto-scaling. • Infrastructure-as-Code: Expertise in Terraform or similar IaC tools. Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams. • Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies. Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications: Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Terraform Associate Certification. • Harness Expertise: Experience with Feature Flags, Harness GitOps, and developing enterprise "golden templates." • Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with Splunk and Harness Insights to establish rollback and verification processes.
