We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to complete the setup of our IT infrastructure on Windows Server 2019. We have already configured Active Directory (AD) and installed the domain controller on Windows Server 2019. We need assistance to: Connect Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to our on-premises Active Directory for seamless synchronization. Set up Microsoft Intune for device management and policy enforcement. Add two users to Active Directory and ensure they are synced with Entra ID and manageable via Intune. (Optional) Configure Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) access for the users if time permits. This is a one-time project with a focus on ensuring a secure and functional setup. We are looking for someone with strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Windows Server administration. Responsibilities Microsoft Entra ID Integration: Install and configure Microsoft Entra Connect to synchronize our on-premises Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID. Enable Password Hash Synchronization and, if applicable, Seamless Single Sign-On (SSO). Ensure users and devices are properly synced and visible in the Entra admin center. Microsoft Intune Setup: Configure the Intune Connector for Active Directory to support Hybrid Entra Joined devices. Set up automatic enrollment for Windows devices in Intune. Create and assign basic configuration policies (e.g., security settings, app deployment) for the two users. User Management: Add two users to Active Directory with appropriate group memberships. Assign Microsoft 365 licenses (including Intune) to the users. Verify user synchronization in Entra ID and policy application in Intune. Optional RDP Configuration: If time permits, configure RDP access for the two users on the Windows Server 2019 environment, ensuring secure access (e.g., via Entra ID credentials or local accounts). Documentation: Provide a brief document outlining the configurations performed and any recommendations for ongoing maintenance. Requirements Proven experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory on Windows Server 2019. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra Connect for hybrid identity management. Knowledge of Intune device enrollment and policy configuration. Understanding of Windows Server administration, including user and group management. (Preferred) Experience with RDP configuration and securing remote access. Strong communication skills to explain technical steps and provide clear documentation. (Optional) Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Identity and Access Administrator Associate).
