This role will be located at our future headquarters in Short Hills, N.Until the new headquarters is operational, the successful candidate will be offered the ability to work in our Branchville, N.J. location during this interim period. Our Enterprise IT Center of Excellence (CoE) teams are hubs for best practices, continuous improvement, and strategic initiatives. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical CoE Lead to join our team and help us achieve our goals . As part of our growing CoE services, the Team Lead will be responsible for leading projects, driving strategic initiatives, and building/maturing CoE services in areas such as Azure Cloud, DevOps, SharePoint, Power Platform, and MS Teams. Relationship Management: Develop and maintain productive working relationships with project sponsors, key systems users, end-users, and other IT functions. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and create documentation for projects and CoE needs, including design, asset inventory, diagrams, presentations, and documentation of the environment and deployment for support and future implementations. Supervise and guide the design and development activities for entire applications. Project Formalization: Formalize project and CoE activities and guide projects/initiatives to completion. Collaboration: Work closely with Solutions and Enterprise Architects to create and review implementation designs. Support the formulation of the platform-specific CoE vision, strategy, and value proposition, and drive the execution of CoE services. Partner with functional areas and other CoE teams to identify and maximize deployment opportunities. Training and Development: Deliver and drive lunch-and-learn sessions and produce training materials for organizational consumption. Team Supervision: Supervise developers, assign project staff, estimate resource needs, plan team member work assignments and schedules, and guide and monitor work productivity. Facilitate proactive issue and risk identification and resolution. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Science, or related field preferred 8+ years in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related fields. 5+ plus years of developer/analyst experience in space of Cloud, Azure DevOps/SharePoint Online/Power Platform space Experience working in a COE setup model, well versed with the concept of platform engineering Strong leadership and management skills Well versed with the Agile based methodologies for software development life cycle Good Knowledge of PowerShell Script, REST API, SharePoint Services, SPFX Framework, MS Team, Power Platform capabilities (in space of power apps, power automate, virtual agents) Working Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud Selective Insurance offers a total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, incentive plan eligibility at all levels, and a wide array of benefits designed to help you and your family stay healthy, achieve your financial goals, and balance the demands of your work and personal life.
