Position: Cybersecurity Engineer Duration: Long Term Location: Onsite - Montpelier, VT Job Description: process of implementing a new cloud-based Construction Management solution (CMS) from ExeVision to integrate construction project estimates, electronic bidding, and construction management. There are two modules implemented, iPDWeb and iCXWeb, collectively known as CMS. This solution is hosted in Microsoft's Azure cloud environment. A publicly facing online portal is part of the implementation. Both internal State users and external Contractors can access the system. Seeking a computer security services provider exceptionally well versed in all facets of penetration testing to test both modules to ensure they are secured from malicious actors. Requirements: • 3-5 years of experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and cybersecurity roles. • Familiarity with penetration testing tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, and frameworks for ethical hacking, including OWASP and NIST standards. • Understanding of information security policies, network protocols, and industry standards. • Proven ability to perform retesting to validate remediation efforts and ensure the closure of security gaps. • Knowledge of secure data destruction protocols and practices. • Understanding of geographic data compliance, including restrictions related to continental US data handling. Skills & Experience • Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, programming, and security tools. • Ability to analyze complex systems and identify vulnerabilities. • Clear and concise communication skills to explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions. • Proficiency in scripting, operating systems (Linux and Windows), and programming languages like Python. • Experience in logging and monitoring tools to trace and analyze network packets during penetration tests. • Expertise in testing applications for multiple user roles and permissions, including role-based access testing. • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills to articulate findings and provide actionable recommendations. • Proven ability to produce detailed and timely reports on security findings within strict deadlines. • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement security solutions effectively. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
