Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Remote Cloud Architect to join their distributed team, focusing on cutting-edge architectural solutions. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation). You will collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into efficient and robust cloud architectures. Responsibilities include defining cloud strategies, establishing best practices for cloud adoption, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for problem-solving, a passion for innovation, and the ability to lead technical discussions in a virtual environment. You will also be responsible for evaluating emerging technologies, conducting performance tuning, and architecting disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures. Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Lead the adoption of cloud services and best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams. Architect solutions for microservices, containerization, and serverless computing. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and cost-efficiency in the cloud. Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Stay abreast of new cloud technologies and industry trends. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with at least 5 years focused on cloud platforms. Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Deep understanding of networking, security, and data storage in cloud environments. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
