Position Title: Senior / Lead Data Engineer Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are looking for a Senior/Lead Data Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Cloud to join our dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will lead design and development of modern, scalable data solutions that power business insights and analytics. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and Databricks. • Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions. • Implement and maintain data lake and data warehouse architectures on Azure Cloud. • Develop reusable frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and quality checks. • Lead and mentor a small team of data engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices. • Manage data workflow orchestration, version control, and CI/CD for data projects. • Optimize performance of Spark jobs and Databricks clusters. • Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are met. Required Skills & Experience: • 7 10 years of experience in Data Engineering with at least 3+ years in Azure ecosystem. • Strong hands-on experience in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Data Lake (ADLS). • Proficiency in PySpark / Spark SQL / Python for large-scale data transformations. • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns and data modeling (Star/Snowflake). • Experience working with Delta Lake and DataBricks Workflows. • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Prior leadership experience in mentoring or managing data engineering teams is a strong plus. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Synapse Analytics, Azure Functions, or Event Hubs. • Exposure to modern data architectures and data mesh principles. • Databricks or Azure certifications preferred.
