Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Email Gateway Administrator to join our team in supporting enterprise-level email security and delivery infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Broadcom/Symantec Messaging Gateway and a solid foundation in email systems administration, network protocols, and cybersecurity best practices. This role plays a critical part in maintaining secure, efficient, and high-performing email communications across a large-scale environment. Key Responsibilities: * Administer and maintain the Broadcom/Symantec Messaging Gateway, including configuration, policy development, and system updates. • Design and document custom rules and filters to manage email traffic and support security objectives. • Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues related to email delivery, performance, and integration. • Monitor email system capacity and usage trends; recommend optimizations for performance and scalability. • Enforce organizational IT security policies, ensuring email systems are compliant with all guidelines and standards. • Provide support to end-users and IT teams regarding email-related technical issues. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between email systems and enterprise platforms. • Track key performance indicators, generate reports, and ensure service level objectives are consistently met. • Stay up to date with evolving email threats and implement mitigation strategies. Required Qualifications: * Proven hands-on experience with Broadcom/Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG). • Strong knowledge of enterprise email platforms such as Microsoft Exchange and Office 365. • Proficient in core email protocols including SMTP, IMAP, and POP. • Experience managing email security configurations including spam filtering, anti-malware, and encryption. • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in diagnosing and resolving email infrastructure issues. • Effective communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-demand environment. • Familiarity with IT operations supporting high-availability, 24/7 environments. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience supporting enterprise-scale email environments. • Certifications such as MCSE, Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, or equivalent. • Background in network traffic and log analysis for performance and threat detection. • Familiarity with application-layer protocols like HTTP, SSL, and SSH. • Creative and analytical thinking with strong attention to detail.
