GNC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Payroll Administrator to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone early in their career in payroll and looking to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment. You’ll assist in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and support the payroll team with administrative tasks. What You’ll Do: This is a Full-Time Hourly Position The Junior Payroll Administrator will perform a variety of administrative functions to support the Payroll Department in its mission to pay GNC team members accurately and on time using existing processes, systems and controls. • Maintain confidential company and employee files, records and information in support of the payroll function. • Evaluate and route electronic and physical mail and correspondence, including scanning, filing, and uploading documents to internal and external partners, systems and services. • Process wire requests, incoming garnishment orders, employment verification requests, and other payroll-related inquiries. • Answer and resolve questions and concerns from team members, managers, and external partners accurately and expeditiously. • Assist and support the processing of weekly and biweekly payroll runs and off-cycle manual payments for US and Canada pay groups and associates. • Create, run, download, file and/or distribute reports as needed to support GNC payroll processes and assist with inquiries from external partners and agencies. • Crosstrain on various payroll and payroll-related processes to learn, grow and expand knowledge and skills to better support the payroll team. • Perform additional related tasks and duties as assigned. Environmental Factors & Working Schedule: • Hybrid work environment, 2 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely remainder of the week. • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus QUALIFICATIONS: • An associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job is required • A bachelor’s degree is preferred • Previous payroll, human resources and/or accounting experience preferred, but not required • Proficiency with various desktop and internet software and applications, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) • Strong reading, verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) • Strong analytical, prioritization, planning, interpersonal and problem-solving skills • Solid understanding and ability to apply mathematical concepts including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios and percentages. • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. • Self-motivated, with a high level of attention to detail and dedication to maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines • Ability and willingness to work overtime as necessary
