Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled SQL Developer with strong expertise in SQL Server development and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse. The ideal candidate should have excellent SQL coding and performance tuning skills, with additional exposure to PySpark, Databricks, and Fabric-based data pipelines. This role focuses on developing efficient SQL solutions, supporting data integration, and enabling scalable analytics within the Microsoft data ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views in SQL Server and Synapse. • Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components (Pipelines, Notebooks, and Lakehouses). • Leverage PySpark and Databricks for advanced data transformation and integration when needed. • Manage and maintain data warehouse/lakehouse structures in Azure Synapse and OneLake. • Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, streaming) into centralized SQL-based solutions. • Perform performance tuning of SQL queries, Synapse workloads, and pipeline processes. • Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are applied consistently. • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business users to deliver high-quality, query-ready datasets. • Contribute to automation and CI/CD processes for SQL and pipeline deployments (Azure DevOps). Required Skills and Qualifications • Strong 14+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server development (complex queries, performance tuning, optimization). • Proficiency in Azure Synapse SQL Pools and T-SQL development. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, Notebooks, Lakehouse). • Exposure to PySpark and Databricks for secondary data transformation tasks. • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and modern data architectures. • Experience with version control tools such as Git. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with streaming or real-time data solutions. • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and datasets. • Microsoft certifications related to SQL, Azure Synapse, or Fabric.
