A Day in the Life As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting product development from conception to deployment and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with the Product Owner and project team to integrate business processes with data-driven insights. Your ability to understand and document both current and future business needs will be crucial as you engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement effective IT solutions. A key aspect of your role will be to ensure that data and analytics meet user requirements and align with our strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include rigorous analysis, documentation, and ongoing collaboration across all organizational levels to promote the adoption of data-centric business solutions. In this role, you will: • Assist the Product Owner and project team throughout various product phases, including Process Analysis, Requirements, User Acceptance Testing, Training, Deployment, and Continuous Improvement. • Document current and emerging business needs while working with service providers to define data and analytics solutions. • Facilitate discussions with Product Owners to gather business context, analyze, and document findings. • Document business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. • Engage with internal customers to confirm comprehensive and precise user requirements, ensuring that changes adhere to technical specifications. • Conduct data analysis across different sources, consolidating datasets and analyzing data efficiently. • Analyze business processes to determine how data and analytics solutions should be configured. • Review and analyze business performance pre- and post-deployment of analytics solutions using SQL, BI Reports, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, and other tools. • Map existing processes to desired states, identifying gaps in functions, requirements, data strategies, and system controls. • Assist in developing test designs and test cases. • Contribute to the development and maintenance of documents related to project status and business communications. • Depending on the project and organizational structure, supervise direct reports. What We Need From You • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field required. • 8+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Product Manager, Solutions Architect, or similar role focused on data and analytics software development preferred. • Experience with Agile development methodologies and familiarity with Agile and hybrid development environments. • Strong experience in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data and analytics solutions, with an understanding of using data to enhance business processes. • Ability to elicit, articulate, and document business requirements and contextual descriptions using scenarios and user stories. • Foundational knowledge of Agile Methodology, Product Development, and the Software Development Life Cycle. • Proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis and elicitation. • Experience using JIRA and Confluence for workflow support. • Proficiency in data reporting tools like SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, and Excel. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint, to create compelling presentations using mockups and data. Travel Requirements Minimal travel (20%) is expected for this position.
