The Role: The Architectural Consultant will lead the promotion and integration of wall solutions and architectural products, engaging with clients, general contractors, and internal teams early in the project lifecycle. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the role involves overseeing two team members (one in Minnesota, one in Wisconsin) if hired as a player/coach. Success in this position means building trusted client relationships, expertly surveying spaces, guiding pre-furniture-phase solutions, and ensuring the smooth execution of architectural sales strategies across projects. Responsibilities: • Drive architectural sales efforts, focusing on wall solutions and early-phase project integration. • Survey client spaces, understand project requirements, and collaborate with clients and GCs. • Build and maintain relationships within the A&D, CRE, and GC communities to promote architectural products. • Oversee and support two direct reports (if player/coach level), providing leadership, coaching, and guidance. • Collaborate with pre-construction services, sales engineering, and installation teams to meet project goals. • Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and recommendations to stakeholders. • Travel as required across Arizona, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois to maintain a strong market presence. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. • Minimum 5+ years in sales, project management, or architectural solutions, ideally with a focus on wall systems or space planning. • Strong ability to survey spaces and engage directly with clients and GCs. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong communication and presentation skills. • Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips. • Self-starter with strong business acumen, integrity, and collaborative spirit. • Clean background and drug check. Nice to Have • Experience managing or coaching a sales team. • Sales background in construction or architectural products. • Understanding of extended sales cycles, project accounting, and financials. • Familiarity with workplace performance concepts and construction technologies.
