This role directly contributes to the U.S. Air Force’s technical intelligence capabilities by developing and deploying advanced analytics, visualization platforms, and data science tools that support decision-making across operational, intelligence, and research domains. Key Responsibilities: • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical modeling, and machine learning to extract actionable insights from structured and unstructured datasets. • Design and implement repeatable workflows for data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization. • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytic tools that support mission objectives. • Interface with mission analysts, scientists, engineers, and leadership to translate data requirements into functional products. • Ensure analytics solutions align with security standards, DoD data strategy, and RMF/NIST compliance. • Evaluate new and emerging data science technologies for applicability to USAF mission needs. • Provide technical documentation, support knowledge transfer, and assist with training initiatives for analytical platforms. • Work within cross-functional agile teams focused on innovation and rapid capability delivery. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field. • 5+ years of professional experience in data science, advanced analytics, or applied statistics. • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or other data science programming languages. • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, Dash, D3.js). • Demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets in secure or classified environments. • Familiarity with cloud-based data architectures (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, etc.). • Strong understanding of RMF, NIST 800-53, or DoD cybersecurity frameworks. • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph preferred. Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related discipline. • DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II or III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM). • Experience supporting USAF or Space Force intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. • Experience using Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Spark, Databricks, or Hadoop-based tools. • Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle in government or mission-critical contexts.
