As a member of the Systems Development and Maintenance (SDM) team, the Power Platform Specialist will design, develop, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies—including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse—to streamline business processes, improve data visibility, and enhance productivity. This role bridges business needs and technical capabilities, delivering secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that align with organizational goals. This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities • Design, build, and deploy applications, workflows, dashboards, and reports using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. • Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate needs into technical requirements. • Connect Power Platform solutions to Microsoft 365, Azure services, and third-party systems through APIs, connectors, and custom integrations. • Implement secure and efficient data models, governance policies, and access controls to ensure data integrity and compliance. • Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and provide end-user support to ensure adoption and effective use of solutions. • Monitor solution performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes for speed, reliability, and scalability. • Promote standards, documentation, and governance frameworks for sustainable Power Platform development. • Stay up to date with the latest Power Apps and Power Automate features and trends Required Qualifications • 5+ years of related experience. • Proven experience designing and developing solutions in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse). • Experience in governance, security, and compliance for Power Platform solutions. • Familiarity with tooling such as Git, Jira, Azure DevOps. • Experience with data modeling, Power Query, and building Power BI reports. • Solid understanding of integration technologies and protocols. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Proactive approach to problem identification and resolution. • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Desired Qualifications • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals or Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate. • Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services. • Understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM) in Power Platform. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
