Position: SharePoint Front-End Administrator Location: Silver Springs, MD Clearance: Secret and Above Certification: Security+ CE (must be current) About the Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SharePoint Front-End Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our SharePoint environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of SharePoint sites, ensuring optimal performance, user accessibility, and compliance with organizational standards. This role focuses on front-end administration, including site design, user support, and collaboration with technical teams to deliver a seamless SharePoint experience. Key Responsibilities: SharePoint Administration • Manage and maintain SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint on-premises environments, including site collections, subsites, lists, libraries, and permissions. • Configure and customize SharePoint front-end features, including web parts, pages, and navigation. • Monitor SharePoint performance and troubleshoot front-end issues to ensure high availability and reliability. • Implement and enforce governance policies, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices. User Support and Training • Provide end-user support for SharePoint-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving front-end problems. • Train users on SharePoint features, functionality, and best practices to enhance collaboration and productivity. • Act as the primary point of contact for SharePoint-related inquiries and requests. Site Design and Customization • Design and configure SharePoint sites to meet business requirements, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing interface. • Create and manage site templates, workflows, and forms using tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Designer. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that align with organizational goals. Collaboration and Integration • Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and development teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications. • Assist in the migration of content and sites from legacy systems to modern SharePoint environments. • Support hybrid SharePoint environments and integrations with Microsoft 365 tools like Teams, OneDrive, and Power BI. Monitoring and Reporting • Monitor SharePoint usage and generate reports on site activity, storage, and user engagement. • Identify and address potential security risks, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. • Document processes, configurations, and changes to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base. Required Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience: • 5+ years of experience in SharePoint administration, with a focus on front-end management. • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016/2019, or SharePoint Subscription Edition. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in configuring and managing SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and permissions. • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps). • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end customization. • Experience with SharePoint Designer and modern SharePoint features. • Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with SharePoint migrations and hybrid environments. • Knowledge of SharePoint governance and compliance best practices.
