Job Summary Member of a software engineering team involved in the development and design of the AI Data Platform built on Net App’s flagship storage operating ONTAP. ONTAP is a feature-rich stack with data management capabilities used in mission-critical applications worldwide. You will work as part of a team responsible for the development, testing, and debugging of distributed software that drives Net App cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises AI/ML solutions. Responsibilities This is an entry-level technical position focused on broad-thinking, systems orientation, teamwork, and continuous learning. Responsibilities include: • Contribute to enhancements to existing products and to new product development. • Participate in technical discussions within the team and with cross-functional teams. • Support development and testing activities for other engineers with interdependencies. • Work on additional tasks and responsibilities to help meet team, department, and company goals. • Apply a strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices. • Collaborate on AI/ML framework work (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow) as appropriate. Qualifications • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, C#, C/C++. • Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Keras, OpenAI, LLMs, Lang Chain). • Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices (e.g., Flask, API frameworks). • Experience with Linux and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes (control plane, auto-scaling, orchestration, containerization). • Experience with No SQL document databases (e.g., Mongo DB, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, Document DB). • Experience building microservices and REST APIs. • Understanding of big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and distributed storage for large datasets. • Proven track record on mid to large-sized projects. • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to take on additional responsibilities. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree; or equivalent experience. Compensation & Benefits The target salary range for this position is 108,800 – 162,800 USD, with final compensation determined by location, qualifications, experience, and education. Packages may include health, life, retirement plans, PTO, leave options, performance-based incentives, employee stock purchase plans, and RSUs, subject to regional variations and company policies. Benefits vary by country and region and will be detailed during recruitment.
