Microsoft Digital Workspace Solutions Architect Contract Job Site : Remote Job No. : 31752 City : State : CA Pay Range : 80 W2 - 82 W2 hourly Job Details: EXTENSION/CONVERSION: Eligible BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401k, sick leave, and employee assistance program. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a Digital Workplace Solutions Architect for a leading technology consulting engagement working internally for our client on their customer projects ranging from 30-32 hours per week. • Perform project work including assessments, designs, and implementations of Digital Workplace solutions. • Deliver customer-facing Microsoft Workshops including Copilot for M365, Security, Data Governance, and Teams. • Lead larger and more complex engagements, including managing client relationships. • Assist in project scoping, and when required, develop and present Statements of Work (SOWs) or Service Orders. • Explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner during client meetings. • Coach and mentor project team members, contributing to their professional development. • Review and provide feedback on engagement work products and deliverables. • Collaborate with presales teams to scope engagements, estimate timelines, and contribute to proposal content. • Represent the organization at industry events and contribute to marketing content, presentations, and best practice documentation. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS • 8+ years of experience in architecture/design of Microsoft environments using on-premises and cloud-based services. • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Azure AD/Entra, Teams, Power Platform, and Purview. • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting. • Hands-on experience with both Microsoft 365 and traditional on-premises technologies (e.g., Active Directory, Certificate Services). • Experience supporting enterprise environments with 1,000+ concurrent users. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with engineers, IT managers, and executives. BONUS QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with Windows 365 or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). • Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with third-party Microsoft ecosystem tools (e.g., Quest, ShareGate, BitTitan). • Background in business technology/workflow analysis and solution design aligned to operational and financial objectives. IDEAL CERTIFICATIONS • Microsoft Certified - Teams Administrator Associate or Endpoint Administrator Associate. • Microsoft Certified - Information Security Administrator Associate or Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate. ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDED CERTIFICATIONS (any of the following): • Microsoft Certified - AVD Specialty • Microsoft Certified - Azure Administrator Associate • Microsoft Certified - Azure Solutions Architect Expert • Microsoft Certified - Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate • Microsoft Certified - M365 Administrator Expert DESIRED SKILLS • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and provide project oversight. • Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities. • Timeliness in meeting commitments and managing multiple concurrent projects. • Excellent presentation creation and delivery skills. • Ability to adapt communication style to various audiences. • Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
