(ANSER) is seeking an analytical Business Intelligence Developer & Data Analyst to turn Department of Defense facility energy-related data into information with robust visualizations that drive business decisions. In this role, you will design and develop business intelligence solutions, data analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive performance improvements through actionable insights. Day To Day Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI and other visualization tools. • Collect, cleanse, and transform data from diverse sources using SQL, Power Query, and ETL tools. • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and support data warehousing best practices. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and analytical deliverables. • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot performance issues in BI solutions. • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making across departments Required Qualifications • Active Secret security clearance. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years experience in BI development or data analysis roles. • Proficiency with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation. • Demonstrated understanding of database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL) and database relationships. • Familiarity with DoD policy, guidance, organizations, and structures Preferred Qualifications • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure. • Familiarity with Python or R for advanced data analytics. • Knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Builder. • Understanding of data modeling concepts, including star/snowflake schemas and relationships. • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Ability to write efficient DAX formulas for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs. • Skill in transforming and cleaning data using Power Query Editor • Understanding of SQL for querying databases and preparing datasets. • Familiarity with Extract, Transform, Load workflows and tools like Azure Data Factory or SSIS. • Ability to design intuitive and impactful dashboards and reports. • Understanding of business processes and KPIs to translate data into actionable insights. • Communicating findings clearly to stakeholders through visuals and narrative.
