Cybersecurity Engineer – Dallas, TX Location: Dallas, TX Type: Full-time Contract (6-9 Months with potential extensions/conversion) Industry: Technology / Manufacturing Experience Level: Senior (7+ years) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen enterprise security operations and identity management frameworks across cloud and on-premises environments. This role focuses on Microsoft Security platforms, IAM strategy, and proactive threat detection to safeguard critical systems, users, and data. You will design and maintain modern cybersecurity controls while collaborating with IT, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure secure, scalable operations. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain Microsoft security tools including Defender, Sentinel, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD) • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and escalations • Implement IAM controls, MFA, and conditional access policies • Configure secure authentication methods (SSO, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) • Monitor logs, analyze threats, and enhance visibility through Sentinel/SIEM tools • Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement secure and compliant solutions • Recommend improvements aligned with Microsoft and industry best practices Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT administration, or security operations • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Security stack (Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra ID) • Experience with SIEM/SOAR, incident response, and threat analysis • Solid understanding of IAM principles and authentication technologies • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Preferred Certifications • CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, Azure, or Networking certifications Additional Details • Location: Dallas, TX (onsite or hybrid) • Travel: Occasional • Work Environment: Professional HQ setting with standard office demands Why Join Red Oak Technologies?
