Location: Sacramento, CA highly preferred hybrid onsite, but remote from anywhere in California is fine Duration: 6 months CTH Location: 100% Remote in California (candidates in Sacramento with the ability to go onsite are highly preferred) Duration: 6-month Contract-to-Hire Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our client as they transition from traditional on-prem servers to Databricks on Azure. You will leverage your extensive experience in data engineering, SQL, and cloud technologies to build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring seamless data migration and integration. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deploy code into production to ensure comprehensive test coverage and addressing any arising questions. Assist in the build and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines in the cloud for migration of data from legacy systems. Implement data services and solutions using an agile-based approach. Utilize SQL for data validation and profiling. Must-Have Requirements: 5+ years of data engineering experience. Advanced proficiency in SQL and working with large data sets, including an understanding of structuring large data sets. Strong skills in Databricks. Experience with cloud technologies. Ability to work in unstructured environments and solve problems effectively. Experience with BI visualization tools Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Azure. Proficiency in Power BI. Knowledge of SSIS. Experience in the banking or credit union industry.
