Primary Purpose: As an Azure Cloud Architect Consultant you will leverage your expertise in cloud systems architecture to design implement and support cloud-based solutions to meet complex business requirements in a secure and cost-effective manner while ensuring high availability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following outlines the key responsibilities for this position. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required and may not be included here. - Provide expertise in enterprise infrastructure architecture to design install configure and maintain solutions in a hybrid cloud environment. - Promote effective designs and architecture standards to optimize and secure operating environments. - Assist other Cloud Architects to develop and maintain technical standards for hybrid cloud environments. - Collaborate across IT to ensure confidentiality integrity and availability of technology infrastructure. Minimum Skills and Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. - Over seven years of experience in designing implementing and administering mission-critical enterprise-class virtualization systems on public and hybrid cloud platforms. - Bachelors degree or equivalent education training and work-related experience. - Proven experience managing large highly available virtualized environments supporting 5000 end users and/or more than 2000 virtual servers. - In-depth knowledge of networking and connectivity with Azure and AWS. - Proficient in Microsoft M365 configuration migration and administration. - Hands-on experience with automating workflows and deploying cloud-based solutions. - Advanced understanding of clustering services load balancing and replication technologies. - Experienced in developing comprehensive virtualization strategies to address both current and future business requirements including documentation communication implementation and support. - In-depth understanding of core infrastructure services such as Active Directory DNS DHCP SMTP HTTP and security principles. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a rotating on-call environment. Desired Skills: - Experience integrating SaaS applications with SSO. - Experience in datacenter consolidation and virtualization using Nutanix AHV solutions. - Understanding of change control procedures high availability business continuity and disaster recovery concepts for distributed systems architecture. - Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes preferred and Cloud Foundry. - Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or similar field. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $95.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
