Senior Microsoft Office 365 / Power Platform / SharePoint Online Developers job at McBride. Norfolk, VA. McBride has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Microsoft Office 365 / Power Platform / SharePoint Online Developers to join the Change Management Team at HQ SACT in Norfolk, VA . These developers will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting modern digital solutions—starting with a robust travel management tool and expanding into broader administrative, HR, business management, and legal process automation. This is a unique opportunity to directly support NATO’s digital transformation efforts while working in a high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities • Microsoft Power Platform Development: Build and support tools using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint Online to streamline HQ administration processes. • Travel Management Tool Development: • Design and deliver a comprehensive travel management solution covering TDY, home leave, education, recruitment, and separation travel. • Integrate historical travel data, claims checklists, and HQ annual travel planning into a Power Apps–based tool by October 2025. • Expand functionality to support travel claims and desk booking applications. • Integration & Automation: • Explore feasibility of integrating travel tools with NATO’s Oracle-based Financial System (FinS) via API. • Automate notifications and reporting on staff travel plans for leadership visibility. • HR & Business Process Automation: • Develop SharePoint tools for HR oversight, onboarding automation, and workforce planning dashboards. • Maintain and enhance existing HR PowerApps solutions, including allowances revalidation. • Support process automation needs across business management and legal functions. • Governance & Oversight: Ensure solutions align with Power Platform governance frameworks, environment strategies, security models, and DLP policies. • Provide in-house expertise for ongoing development and enhancements of automated solutions. • Perform additional related tasks as required by the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR). Requirements Required Qualifications • 5+ years of proven professional experience in Microsoft software development/DevOps (degree equivalent). • 3+ years (in the last 5) developing solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). • 3+ years (in the last 5) developing and customizing SharePoint Online . • Demonstrated experience with API integration projects. • Experience working in constrained, dependency-heavy network environments (e.g., NATO/DoD networks). • Experience establishing or operating within a Power Platform/intelligent automation governance framework , including security and DLP policies.
