POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure to support network capabilities, including cloud connectivity, and data center interconnects, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across all environments. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead the design and execution of network strategy, including core, edge, and cloud connectivity. • Develop and maintain long-term architectural vision, investment planning, and innovation roadmap for network modernization aligned with business growth and digital transformation goals. • Lead the transformation from legacy MPLS to a modern, software-defined, cloud-optimized network fabric. • Translate business growth forecasts and digital transformation goads into scalable network capacity and performance plans. • Evaluate and recommend strategic vendor partnerships to support evolving network needs, including hyperscale interconnects and edge compute providers. • Oversee the network risk register and lead mitigation strategies for single points of failure, latency bottlenecks, and vendor lock-in, along with compliance with regulatory and industry standards pertain to network infrastructure. • Counsel the VP of Infrastructure & Operations on network health, investment ROI, and strategic risks quarterly. • Partner with stakeholders to ensure network infrastructure supports evolving application and analytics. • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, data science or a related field Seven (7) years of experience in data engineering, analytics or data platform architecture Strong understanding of network security principles and compliance frameworks. Experience leading network separation or M&A-related infrastructure transitions is highly desirable. Excellent communication, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership skills. Proven expertise in SD-WAN, DIA, MPLS, cloud networking (Azure preferred), and data center interconnects.
