To Apply for this Job Click Here Azure Cloud Engineer (Contract-to-Hire – Remote) A leading financial services company is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join their Cloud & Platform Engineering team. This role offers the chance to work in a highly structured IT environment, driving automation and cloud infrastructure projects that support enterprise-scale operations. The position begins as a contract with the intent to convert to full-time. Location: Fully Remote Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Note: Direct applicants only; we are not engaging with third-party agencies. Role Overview The Azure Cloud Engineer will design, build, and manage cloud solutions to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable operations. The role will include automating workflows, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supporting compliance requirements, and collaborating across multiple technology teams. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and optimize a multi-tenant Terraform Enterprise platform • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions for Azure environments • Build automated workflows with Ansible to streamline operations • Create reusable infrastructure patterns for multi-cloud use cases • Partner with DevOps, IT, and security teams on cloud initiatives and enhancements • Manage identity, access controls, and secrets across cloud environments • Document designs, processes, and standards in knowledge repositories • Support ongoing projects and deliver technical expertise for cloud initiatives Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience • Proven expertise with Terraform Enterprise in enterprise-scale environments • Strong background in Ansible for automation • Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps • Experience with RBAC/IAM and secret management tools (e.g., Vault, Key Vault) • Professional certifications in Azure (e.g., Architect, DevOps, Security, Network) or Red Hat Ansible Specialist • Expertise with Azure required. • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams • Comfortable working in compliance-driven environments with high standards for security and audit readiness Nice to Have • Experience with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, or GKE) • Knowledge of GCP cloud architecture • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps • Background in Policy as Code After applying to this role, you may receive an invitation from our AI Recruiter, Avery to schedule a virtual meeting to learn more about your background as an initial screening for this role.
