Job Role: Azure Data Engineer Job Location: Spring TX Job Type: Contract Build and Execute Pipelines in ADF Sound knowledge of Data warehousing ETL cloud technologies Strong hands on is self driven understand the medallion architecture and best practices for building efficient pipelines etc Strong communication skills non-negotiable and is willing to work collaboratively 1Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment including provisioning configuration performance monitoring policy governance and security 2Design develop and implement highly available multiregion solutions within Microsoft Azure 3Analyze existing operational standards processes andor governance to identify and implement improvements 4Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloudbased solutions 5Manage security and access controls of cloudbased solutions 6Develop infrastructure as code IaC leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments 7Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss 8Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed andor modernized 9Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards 10Participate in a 247 oncall rotation to address and resolve technical escalations Bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a related field Required Skills and Experience 14 years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design deployment configuration and optimization 24 years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions 3Experience working within an Agile framework 4Experience in IaC development with Terraform Azure CLI Puppet and Ansible 5Experience scripting with Perl Python and PowerShell 6Proficient with GIT to perform source code management 7Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps 8Experience with Jira and ServiceNow 9Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking systems administration data protection information security and CICD tooling 10Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners 11Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a keen attention to detail Skills Mandatory Skills : Java, Python, Scala, Snowflake, Azure BLOB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, AZURE DATA LAKE,ANSI-SQL, Databricks, HDInsight
