Network Administrator - Journeyman Hybrid - Onsite TBD within DC Metro Area Statement of Work A federal agency has a requirement for Post Deployment System Support (PDSS) services supporting a major logistics information system. The program supports mission-critical infrastructure and is focused on delivering secure, high-performance IT systems across a global operational footprint. Task Description The Network Administrator - Journeyman will: • Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and virtualized environments • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and configuration issues • Apply patches and updates to network and system components, including Exadata and Oracle VM environments • Support interface management to ensure connectivity and compliance across internal and external systems • Document network events, changes, and configurations in accordance with operational standards • Collaborate with help desk, cybersecurity, and audit teams to ensure secure and compliant network operations Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field • 4-6 years of experience in network administration or systems support • Experience managing and maintaining enterprise network and server environments • Proficiency in configuring/troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers • Experience with software installation, patching, and upgrades • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques • Understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures • Ability to document network events and configurations using standard formats • Shift: Day + Swing, On-Call Night Additional Required Tools/Skills • Microsoft Excel • Microsoft Word • Rational ClearQuest • Rational ClearCase • CMMI Level 3 • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Nice to Have Skills • Experience supporting secure federal or defense-related IT environments • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (Oracle VM, VMware) and network storage systems • Experience with IAVA compliance, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity standards • Knowledge of Exadata, InfiniBand, and Oracle-based infrastructure • Exposure to interface management and coordination with external systems • Experience supporting 24/7/365 operations and collaborating with help desk and audit teams • Please note that any false information on your resume or application could lead to the offer being withdrawn or even termination after hire. *
