Akkodis is seeking an Azure Engineer - Database Architect for a contract with a client in Chicago, IL(Remote). Candidates must have hands-on experience designing and integrating data pipelines using Azure technologies and SQL-based platforms. Rate Range: $50/hour to 53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Azure Engineer - Database Architect job responsibilities include: • Design and implement scalable data architectures using Azure services such as Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics. • Develop and maintain data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) across diverse data sources. • Perform data quality analysis and integration, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with enterprise standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support M&A data migration and integration initiatives. • Create technical documentation and data models, including metadata repositories and master data management strategies. • Optimize data delivery and infrastructure, leveraging automation and best practices for performance and scalability. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 8+ years in data engineering or database architecture, with at least 3 years working in Azure cloud environments. • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Data Lake, and integration technologies like Logic Apps and Power Automate. • Strong expertise in data modeling, pipeline design, and transforming complex datasets for analytics and migration initiatives.
