Job Title: Systems Administrator Salary Range: $65,000 - $71,000 Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM -4:30 PM, On-site Summary: The Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our IT systems including Microsoft services, networking hardware, virtual infrastructure (VMware/ESXi), and backup solutions. The role also includes providing end-user support and system documentation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). • Manage and deploy devices via Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager). • Perform vulnerability analysis and remediation. • Support and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy (on-prem and hybrid environments). • Install, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machines. • Monitor and manage backup systems to ensure successful data protection and recovery. • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure. • Set up and support laptops and desktops (Windows/macOS), including user onboarding. • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and end-user issues in a timely manner. • Maintain IT documentation and inventory (licenses, hardware, credentials, diagrams, etc.). • Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and process improvements. Education and/or Experience: • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. • 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or equivalent IT role. • Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-104, MD-102, CompTIA Network+/Security+, VCP-DCV, CCNA). • Familiarity with Azure AD and hybrid cloud environments. • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Defender, Intune, and Active Directory. • Experience with VMware/ESXi or similar virtualization platforms. • Familiarity with backup technologies (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, Windows Backup, etc.). • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VLANs, and switches. Other Skills and Abilities: • Experience supporting Windows systems. • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment. Reasoning Ability: • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. • Ability to review data, draw conclusions and make suggestions based on data.
