Job Description Job Summary: The Experienced Manager, Data Analytics & Visualization, Accounting Advisory & Outsourcing, leads the design, development, and deployment of data analytics and visualization solutions to support accounting advisory and outsourcing services. This role architects and manages data pipelines, ensures data integrity, and delivers actionable insights through advanced analytics and compelling visual storytelling. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize data processes, automate reporting, and enhance analytics capabilities using cloud-based platforms and industry-leading visualization tools. The Data Analyst and Engineer is responsible for hands-on delivery, technical leadership, and client relationship management, driving innovation and operational efficiency for complex accounting projects. Job Duties: • Architects, designs, and implements actionable data analytics and visualization solutions for accounting advisory and outsourcing projects, primarily on cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and including MS SQL • Develops and maintains data pipelines, ETL processes, semantic layers, and data models to support client deliverables and internal analysis • Explores large datasets and relational databases, performs analyses, and identifies unique storytelling opportunities to convey business insights • Builds and deploys dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI and Tableau ensuring high performance, scalability, and security • Collaborates with accounting advisory teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions and visualizations • Automates data collection, transformation, and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and data quality • Leads team members in building visualizations that make complex information accessible and actionable for better business decisions • Defines and implements programs and best practices to ensure data literacy and maturity within organizations • Creates prototypes, functional, architectural, and technical designs to validate requirements and guide scalable implementation • Manages workspaces, user permissions, and overall security of visualization platforms • Oversees code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization of solutions to ensure adherence to standards and SLA compliance • Collaborates with data engineers to ingest and warehouse data, supporting robust data models and lineage tracking • Communicates findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear visualizations and presentations • Manages client relationships during project execution, acting as a trusted advisor • Assists project managers with work breakdown structure creation, project estimation, and resource planning • Participates in pre-sales engineering and scoping exercises to support new business opportunities • Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities: • Supervises the day-to-day workload of Senior Associates, Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work products; Supervises overall client engagement Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education • Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science, Data Sciences preferred Experience • Seven (7) or more years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or application development, required • Two (2) or more years of experience technically leading development projects, required • Two (2) or more years of consulting experience or implementation of cloud-based data visualization solutions, preferred • Experience supporting accounting advisory or outsourcing services, preferred • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), preferred • Experience in a professional services environment, preferred • Proficient in MS SQL required License(s)/Certification(s) • Data engineering or analytics certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Google Professional Data Engineer), preferred Software • Strong SQL skills including DDL, DML, views, functions, stored procedures, and performance tuning, required • Proficiency in Python and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, required • Experience with Data Modeling, Semantic Model Definition, or Star Schema Construction, required • Experience with ETL tools and cloud data platforms, preferred • Experience with Git and DevOps deployment technologies, preferred • Experience with wireframe mockup tools, process documentation tools (e.g., Visio), AI algorithms/machine learning, and automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Alteryx), preferred Languages • N/A Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Strong project management and client relationship management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with a high degree of professionalism • Strong business acumen and understanding of accounting principles • Ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders • Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development • Ability to mentor and develop team members on best practices, techniques, and tools Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
