Database Operations & Systems Administrator (On-Site, Bethesda, MD) 🚨 U.S. GOVERNMENT TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION 🚨 Position Overview Manage daily operations, maintenance, and performance of a proprietary government data platform, ensuring stability, data accuracy, and smooth information flow. Key Responsibilities • Run daily system checks to verify database integrity and uptime. • Troubleshoot performance issues and user access challenges. • Track and document maintenance tasks and system trends. • Generate and validate reports for internal stakeholders. • Ensure data accuracy and clarity across multiple datasets. • Develop Excel-based dashboards for performance metrics. • Set up and manage user accounts and permissions. • Provide onboarding and training to new users. • Bridge the gap between technical and non‑technical staff. • Participate in development testing cycles prior to deployment. • Verify new functionality and fixes in non-production environments. • Maintain user guides, training sheets, and version release notes. Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience: 2–5 years in database or system administration, technical support, or data analytics. • Technical Skills: • Microsoft Access (queries, relationships, forms, and reports). • Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleanup, charts). • Basic understanding of SQL, VBA, and Windows file structures. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. • Security Clearance: ACTIVE U.S. GOVERNMENT TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH. • Soft Skills: Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, strong communication, adaptability, and team collaboration. Preferred Experience • Prior experience in database testing, QA, or release management. • Familiarity with automation tools (Power Automate, UiPath, etc.). • Experience creating or maintaining system documentation. • Background supporting financial or HR data systems.
