Job title: Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake & ADF) Location: Columbus, OH 43215 (Onsite – 4 days/week) Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Potential for Extension) Position Summary: Chipotle is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and Azure Data Factory. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in data engineering, specifically with Microsoft technologies, cloud data services, and modern data pipeline architecture. The engineer will help build scalable, high-performance data solutions to support business analytics and reporting. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure and Snowflake • Build and manage data ingestion and integration workflows (REST, SOAP, SFTP, MQ, etc.) • Write optimized, high-performance scripts in SQL and Python (or Scala) • Participate in architecture design, logical/physical data modeling, and solution discussions • Implement CI/CD pipelines and best practices in Azure for data systems • Handle complex data integration issues, unstructured datasets, and data quality concerns • Collaborate closely with product owners, data scientists, and architects in an Agile environment • Manage source control, versioning, and deployment across environments • Support the internal data integration framework and resolve source data discrepancies Must-Have Qualifications: • 5–8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role • Strong, hands-on experience with Snowflake (MUST) • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory v2 (MUST) • Expertise in Microsoft Stack – SQL Server, SSIS, etc. • Solid experience with Azure services: Databricks, SQL DW, Analysis Services, Cosmos DB • Strong programming skills in Python or Scala • Experience with data lake/warehouse implementation on Azure (or other clouds) • Proven experience working in an Agile software development environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication • High level of motivation, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects • Experience with DB2 is a plus • Experience with financial or confidential data handling Important Notes: • This is a backfill – the client is looking for a strong performer to replace a current underperforming candidate. • NO Big Data profiles – this is a true Data Engineering role focused on Snowflake and ADF. • Candidate must be onsite 4 days per week in Columbus, OH – no exceptions.
