Job Description Infosys is seeking for a Microsoft SQL Database administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other infrastructure admins, application teams, engineering teams and other cross functional teams. Responsibilities will include incident management, change management, problem management and request fulfilment activities along with ensuring database performance, availability, security compliance, and automation across hybrid environments while maintaining best practices. Required Qualifications • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Omaha, NE or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in US. • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience. • At least 3 years of relevant experience with Database Administration on MS SQL Server (SQL Server 2016 and above) • Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, functions, and scripts . • Monitor and optimize database performance using SQL Profiler, Query Store . • Implement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and data collection processes. • Expertise in SSIS, SSRS, and SSMS for implementing ETL solutions, data integration and reporting. • Hands on experience on scripting language -PowerShell or Bash or Python. • Manage database backups and restorations. • Utilize Dynatrace, Idera for proactive monitoring • Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours • Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience working in a regulated banking and financial domain. • Configure and optimize Profiler settings and PostgreSQL parameters. • Knowledge on AWS Aurora Postgres and RDS on AWS platforms • Exposure to database migrations for MS SQL server on AWS cloud environment is preferred • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Terraform and CDK for database deployment and versioning • Experience on Disaster recovery planning and implementation. • Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation. • Planning, Coordination, and Analytical skills. • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
