Senior Data Engineer – Azure & Snowflake Hybrid in Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ Join a high-impact team that's building a modern data platform from the ground up. A national leader in affordable housing development, is expanding its data engineering team and looking for a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Azure and Snowflake to drive the design, development, and optimization of our cloud-based data infrastructure. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to start remotely if you're relocating. You’ll report directly to the Enterprise Data Architect and play a key role in scaling a startup-like data environment within an established enterprise. What You’ll Do • Design and build secure, scalable data pipelines and orchestration workflows using Azure and Snowflake • Develop ELT processes and data models with dbt, SQL, and Python • Drive cloud-native best practices for observability, data quality, and performance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BI, IT, DevOps) to translate business needs into technical solutions • Lead data infrastructure-as-code efforts using Terraform and CI/CD tools • Support analytics with Power BI integrations and performance-tuned datasets • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous learning What You Bring • 5+ years of cloud-based data engineering experience • Proven expertise in Azure Data Services and Snowflake • Strong proficiency in Python , dbt , and complex SQL • Experience with APIs, SQL Server, Terraform, and Power BI preferred • Ability to balance big-picture system architecture with hands-on development • Startup mindset — flexible, curious, and excited to build from scratch Dahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family’s needs.
