Responsibilities • Deploy and administer application hosting solutions that include Windows and Linux servers, containers, databases, and file storage components. • Work with development teams to implement best-practices for application hosting and deployment pipelines. • Enable DevSecOps pipeline functions such as security gates, continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing, and application monitoring. • Optimize and automate infrastructure with the use of technologies like Terraform, Ansible, Github Actions, and scripting. • Build interfaces and APIs that facilitate hosting infrastructure use by development teams. • Work closely with principal cloud architects to implement and improve cloud application designs. • Learn continuously to stay ahead on security policies, standards, regulations, cloud technologies, and best practices. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: • Experience using and managing Microsoft Windows and Linux Servers. • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other public cloud providers. • Experience with on-premise physical server administration. • Experience managing MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL database servers. • Awareness of cloud native hosting solutions like containers and Kubernetes. • Demonstrated track record as a great teammate with a collaborative attitude and willingness to learn from, and share knowledge with, others. • Experience with git version control including Github. • Understanding of network security, cloud infrastructure and OS security, identity and access management related to securing cloud and on-premises infrastructure. • Comfortable working in the Linux terminal environment. • Experience with DevOps Tools including: Github, Swagger, Github Actions, JIRA, Confluence. • Experience with technologies such as: Terraform, Ansible, Containers, Kubernetes. • Ability to write code in one or more programming languages like: Python, Node.js, Java, Shell scripting(bash, z shell, PowerShell etc) Preference may be given to those with these key qualifications: • Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification or certified within one year from hire • Physical on-premise data center server maintenance experience • Google Cloud server and cloud native application hosting experience Supplemental Information • Employment contingent on passing a drug screening and a background check. • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
