Position Summary: The Azure Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure networking, security, and identity components and will play a critical role in ensuring cloud environments meet high standards of reliability and compliance. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in financial services or banking. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Design and implement Azure infrastructure using cloud-native services, emphasizing security and scalability Configure and manage Azure Virtual WANs, VNets, Azure Firewalls, Firewall Policies, and Private Endpoints Implement and support secure connectivity via VPN and ExpressRoute Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including cluster provisioning, scaling, and security hardening Apply and manage Azure Policy and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for governance and access control Design and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and related tools Create actionable alerts and dashboards to support operational visibility, performance tuning, and incident response Leverage Defender for Cloud to monitor security posture and remediate recommendations Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates or Terraform Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure consistent, secure deployments and monitor infrastructure health Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and operational procedures Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and network-related issues in Azure Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following. Deep understanding of Azure-native infrastructure and networking concepts Proficiency in implementing complex network topologies in Azure Familiarity with zero trust network architectures and secure cloud design Hands-on experience with Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Private Link, and DNS Expertise in deploying, managing, and securing workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Ability to use Microsoft Defender for Cloud to enhance infrastructure security Expertise in designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability for Azure resources Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Kusto Query Language (KQL) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure Comfortable in regulated environments and familiar with security best practices for cloud deployments Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
