Description The Active Directory Admin will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our Active Directory environment. This position requires advanced experience in all aspects of Active Directory Architecture and Administration, including schema, replication, DNS, permissions flow, trust management, group policy management, backup/recovery, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server administration and Azure Active Directory, along with relevant scripting experience. Skills • 3-5 years of general Windows Server administration • 2 years administering Azure Active Directory • PowerShell or equivalent scripting experience (Python / C#) • LDAP Administration experience (e.g., ODSEE/OpenLDAP/OpenDJ) • Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory Connect and Microsoft 365 administration • Previous experience with Privileged Access Management • Familiarity with Okta • Familiarity with SQL and ability to write simple queries • Familiarity with Linux Operating System • Working knowledge of Firewalls and troubleshooting network issues • Working knowledge of 3rd party and Microsoft CA certificate management • Previous experience mentoring junior resources Responsibilities • Lead architectural discussions and implementation of directory services • Provide tier two ticket support for all IAM services • Provide tier one and tier two ticket support for the Directory • Create documentation (knowledge base articles) for IAM services • Create short instructional videos for IAM services • Train and mentor student Support Analysts • Help to keep recurring projects, such as the Directory Reviewer Refresh, on track and current Qualifications • 3-5 years of advanced experience in Active Directory Architecture and Administration • Strong background in Windows Server and Azure Active Directory • Proven experience in mentoring and training Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Education Requirements Credential Category • Bachelor’s degree Experience Requirements • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Active Directory Administration • Proven experience in IAM services and support Why work in Chicago, IL Chicago offers a vibrant urban environment, rich in culture, arts, and dining options.
