Position: Sr. Systems Administrator (Azure) Base pay range $/yr - $/yr Direct message the job poster from Irvine Technology Corporation Location: Onsite in Dallas, NYC, Phoenix or Austin We have an immediate need for a Sr. Systems Administrator to join our client for a full-time, direct hire position that is fully onsite in Dallas, NYC, Phoenix or Austin. This position will support a 90% virtualized environment within VMware, Azure and AWS. This job expects to pay about $,000 benefits What You’ll Do: • Participate in on-call rotation, after-hours maintenance, and incident response to ensure system availability. • Lead infrastructure projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, and communication. • Design, manage, and optimize VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN). • Administer Windows Server infrastructure (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP) and support a small Linux server footprint. • Oversee SAN, NAS, and object storage to ensure data availability and performance. • Drive process improvements by applying current technologies in virtualization, cloud, and automation. • Maintain thorough documentation for systems, architecture, and procedures. • Enforce security best practices; monitor logs, respond to incidents, and support compliance. • Manage OS and application lifecycle: installation, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting. • Provide expert-level support for complex infrastructure and networking issues. • Strong networking knowledge (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto) is a plus. • Occasional travel to company offices as needed. What Gets You the Job: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience. • 10+ years in systems/infrastructure administration, with expertise in VMware and Microsoft Windows Server. • Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN) and core Windows services (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP). • Experience with SAN/NAS storage, hybrid cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS), and Microsoft 365 tools (Entra/Azure AD, SCCM). • Strong Power Shell scripting skills; Python or other scripting languages a plus. • Familiarity with web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat) and basic SQL administration preferred. • Solid understanding of system security, patching, and access controls. • Valued Certifications: VMware VCP, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
