Account Executive Description of Duties & Responsibilities Position Reports to: Regional Manager General Description: An Account Executive is responsible for the sales and project management side of our business. They will be under limited supervision and work to market, promote, and profitably sell commercial food service equipment products and services to existing and potential, new customers. The candidate will: · Be positive, organized, analytical, and detail-oriented · Take the initiative to self-analyze a situation to avert and solve problems · Able to multitask under pressure and constantly re-prioritize tasks throughout the day · Place a high degree of importance on clear and concise communication · Be able to communicate suggestions and changes to top leadership. · Use multiple forms of communication to execute duties and responsibilities (in person, phone, e-mail, Microsoft Teams, use of the Outlook calendar, etc.) Typical Duties and Responsibilities: · Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers with some potential travel outside of the region as required. · Conduct sales calls and meetings with customers to facilitate the quoting, selling, delivery, and installation of the equipment. · Seek out prospective business opportunities with new and existing customers. · Read and understand plan documentation (layout drawings) to derive equipment needs and requirements for bid requests. At times taking field measurements and marking up manufacturing shop drawings. · Generate profitable sales orders and achieve sales goals set by Regional Manager. · Quote and track project progress using Auto Quotes and Vista software. · Attend product training opportunities to develop superior knowledge of our products to recommend and specify to our customers. · Work in a collaborative, productive, team environment. · Identifies and quantifies change order opportunities. · Communicates with internal customers; billers, credit, and support always in a timely fashion. · Respond timely to GC, external customer, and anyone calling and inquiring about something. · Attend jobsite meetings and be on the jobsite as needed. · Provide solutions to customers through specification of equipment, layout/design, budgeting, and project management. · Project Management includes scheduling, coordinating, and communicating with necessary subcontractors, installers, and other stakeholders to produce a successful and profitable project. · Project management also includes the responsibility of monitoring equipment, materials and job site of the project we are working on. · Weekly reporting to Region Manager and Leadership team to provide an update on current projects and personal schedule along with other details. · Responsible for procuring and maintaining profitable sales and projects throughout the year. · Assisting in the return of unused or unwanted equipment from your sales to help maintain the profitability of your projects and the company’s margins. · Follow direction and fulfill requests as directed by Regional Manager and President/CEO of SSI. Qualifications: · Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills required. · Ability to manage multiple projects and work with several different customers. · Willing to travel within region and potentially outside the region as required. · Must have a detailed approach to your work. · Organized with paperwork and communication with external/internal customers. · Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. · Experience in the commercial food service industry and/or previous sales experience. · Flexibility in schedule is required – it’s not always an “8 to 5” job. · Capability of remotely working from a “home” office. This is a fully remote position for the time being; being driven, self-sufficient and having an available workspace is required.
