This role will combine hands-on DevOps expertise with technical leadership, team mentorship, and strategic infrastructure design to support both legacy and modern application stacks. You will be responsible for leading a team of DevOps engineers, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and setting best practices that enhance delivery speed, quality, and system reliability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both legacy .NET-based environments and modern containerized ecosystems using Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform. What We're Looking For: Technical Leadership & Mentorship Serve as the DevOps subject matter expert, mentoring software engineers and equipping them to adopt and maintain modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure solutions. Define, communicate, and enforce DevOps standards across the team, including coding conventions, release processes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies, and automation guidelines, to ensure consistency and quality. CI/CD & Application Delivery Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support both legacy .NET Framework applications and modern microservices. Ensure seamless build, test, release, and rollback flows with automated quality checks and scalable deployment strategies. Drive modernization efforts by containerizing legacy systems and deploying them to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture Own and manage cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including VMs, networking, load balancing, and managed services. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring modularity, reusability, and security compliance. Ensure cost optimization, performance monitoring, and security best practices are followed. Architecture & Documentation Create and continuously update infrastructure and deployment architecture diagrams, documents, and SOPs. Present and share designs with developers, architects, and product stakeholders; gather feedback and incorporate changes. Maintain visibility into all environments and ensure architectural consistency across services. Collaboration & SDLC Support Work closely with software engineering, QA, product, and security teams to align infrastructure with application roadmaps. Participate in sprint planning and architectural reviews, adapting infrastructure design to evolving SDLC priorities. Identify risks, estimate timelines, and own the execution plan for infrastructure and DevOps initiatives. You Will: 6+ years of hands-on DevOps and infrastructure engineering experience. Proven experience leading DevOps teams or mentoring senior engineers. Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including AKS, VMs, networking, monitoring, and security. Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices. Experience maintaining legacy .NET Framework web applications and migrating them to containerized environments. Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for production deployments. Strong scripting and automation experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.). Excellent communication skills and the ability to create clear, actionable design documentation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing and operating hybrid (legacy + containerized) deployment models. Familiarity with security, compliance, and cost governance in enterprise cloud environments. Track record of rolling out DevOps process improvements and infrastructure standardization at scale.
