Our client, a globally renowned Live Events organisation, is seeking a hands-on Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and lead several new projects. This role will require the line management of a senior engineer and will report to the Head of Infrastructure. Role: Infrastructure Manager Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 (Dependant on Experience) Key Responsibilities • Infrastructure Management: Oversee design, deployment, maintenance, and security of servers, networks, firewalls, backup systems, cloud services, and telephony systems. • Operations and Maintenance: Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance. Monitor infrastructure, maintain documentation, and implement disaster recovery plans. • Project Management: Lead infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with IT strategy. • Incident and Problem Management: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, improve incident response processes, and minimize downtime. • Security and Compliance: Maintain IT security policies, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Essential Skills and Experience: • Proven IT management experience • Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 (AAD, Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019 and core infrastructure services • Experience with virtualization, firewalls, networking, Wi-Fi, backup, endpoint security, and MDM • Technical documentation skills Desirable Skills and Experience: • Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP) • Experience with Cisco network switches, Fortinet firewalls, Veeam Backup, VMware, and telephony systems • Familiarity with monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix) • Understanding of GDPR Please apply if you deem yourself to be suitable!
