JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Akkodis is seeking a Databricks Developer (with Python) for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX. This role requires hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and ETL processes across RDBMS and NoSQL systems. Rate Range: $45/hour to 46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Databricks Developer (with Python) job responsibilities include: • Design and implement scalable data processing pipelines using Azure Databricks, ensuring performance and reliability. • Develop ETL workflows to move and transform data between RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB. • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver optimized solutions. • Write efficient code in Python, PySpark, and Scala to support large-scale data transformations and analytics. • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle, including validation, monitoring, and alerting. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or backend development, with at least 2 years working with Databricks. • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Scala for building and optimizing data pipelines in Azure Databricks. • Strong experience in ETL processes involving RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
