Job Title: Database Administrator Location: Hartford, Connecticut (Onsite/Hybrid) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with expertise across Oracle, SQL Server, and Azure SQL environments. The candidate should have strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, high availability, and security skills with a proven track record in managing large-scale databases. Key Responsibilities: • Administer and manage Oracle Databases (8+ years), including performance tuning, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, upgrades, and security. • Manage SQL Server Databases (8+ years) with expertise in Always On, clustering, replication, query optimization, and automation using T-SQL/PowerShell. • Administer Azure SQL Databases (5+ years) including PaaS & IaaS deployments, backup/recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and automation using Azure tools. • Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 database issues, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity. • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams for smooth operations and integration. • Mentor junior DBAs, enforce best practices, and maintain detailed documentation. Required Skills & Experience: • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DBA (RAC, ASM, Data Guard), SQL Server DBA (HA/DR, query optimization), and Azure SQL DBA (PaaS, IaaS). • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python). • Expertise in performance tuning, monitoring tools (OEM, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics), and capacity planning. • Knowledge of database security, encryption, and compliance standards. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. • Azure certification preferred.
