Our client, a leading player in the logistics and warehousing sector, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in **Richmond, Virginia, US**. The Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. You will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, forecasting demand, and developing strategies to enhance inventory management, transportation, and warehousing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of supply chain principles, and proficiency in data analysis tools and software. Key Responsibilities: Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations. Optimize inventory levels and warehousing strategies. Evaluate transportation routes and modes to reduce costs and improve delivery times. Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to ensure efficient supply chain flow. Prepare reports and presentations on supply chain performance and recommendations. Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies. Utilize supply chain management software and data analytics tools. Monitor industry trends and best practices in logistics and warehousing. Support cross-functional teams in resolving supply chain-related issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis. Experience with ERP and WMS systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of inventory management, transportation, and warehousing principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
