Job Title: Systems Administrator Job Overview: As a Systems Administrator, you will be designing and delivering secure, cost-effective, and reliable infrastructure solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. This position encompasses key responsibilities across infrastructure architecture, implementation, and ongoing operational support, ensuring systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and security. This role will report to the Digital Systems Manager and is based out of our Irvine office. Responsibilities • Manage license, certificates, servers, software installations, vendor relations, and hardware/software procurement • Design, implement and support and troubleshoot network infrastructure including servers, firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and security tools • Provide input on ICT planning, resource estimation, and implementation timelines • Resolve complex technical issues by collaborating with users, support teams and vendors • Investigate problems to identify root causes and ensure timely resolution, escalating as necessary depending on criticality. • Assess and prioritize incidents based on system criticality and business impact • Ensure long-term system stability by resolving high-risk infrastructure issues • Coordinate with external vendors for issue resolution and system support • Recommend and lead initiatives to optimize system performance and reliability • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align IT solutions with business needs • Lead or contribute to projects focused on infrastructure improvements and system upgrades • Mentor and support technical staff to enhance team capabilities • Monitor system performance, capacity, and failures; develop proactive resolution strategies Provide Tier 1-3 support for North American offices to ensure efficient helpdesk operations Education and Experience Requirements • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in systems administration within critical production environments • Associate's degree in information technology required; Bachelor's degree preferred • Proficiency in Azure or similar cloud computing and desktop virtualization technologies preferred • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Solid understanding of the business impact and interdependencies of ICT systems Salary Range The anticipated salary range for candidates is $110,000-$140,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
