Cloud & Cybersecurity Engineer (Azure) job at Xcelligen Inc.. Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to lead strategic cloud architecture and modernization initiatives across complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on technical capabilities with excellent communication and leadership skills to influence technical direction and drive innovation. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-optimized AWS cloud architectures to support enterprise applications. • Lead cloud migration and application modernization efforts, including legacy system assessment and refactoring. • Define and execute multi-cloud strategies , including integration with Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. • Champion infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation . • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, infrastructure, and security teams. • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards , compliance , and security best practices . • Engage stakeholders and executive leadership to align cloud initiatives with business objectives. Primary Skills: • Cloud Architecture & Engineering: AWS (primary), Azure, GCP, OCI • Cloud Services: IaaS, PaaS, Hybrid Cloud, Private/Public Cloud • Infrastructure Automation: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation • Application Modernization & DevOps: CI/CD, containerization, microservices • Languages & Tools: Java, Python, REST/SOAP APIs, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) • Integration Protocols: FTP, pub/sub • Security & Compliance: Cloud security architecture, regulatory compliance frameworks Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in cloud architecture (AWS-focused) • Proven experience in enterprise application architecture and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) • Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and legacy modernization • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate (Highly Desired) • Experience in hybrid cloud environments and working with state/local government or public sector clients (Preferred) Nice to Have: • Experience with Azure , Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) • Background in AI/chatbot development or cloud-native AI services • Familiarity with integration tools and protocols (pub/sub, SOAP/REST) • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST)
