Real Data. Real Time. Real Impact. Red Meters is seeking an experienced Data Scientist or Data Analyst with proven physics-based modeling experience to join our Orlando team. This is not an entry-level role. We require candidates with senior-level academic standing or recent graduates (BS, MS, or PhD) who can immediately apply their physics and data expertise to real-world industrial systems. At Red Meters, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—data scientists, materials engineers, field engineers, and leadership—to extract insights from real-time process data that powers the mining, manufacturing, and process control industries. This role is built for someone who thrives on turning raw industrial data into actionable insights, with a focus on physics-driven modeling combined with deep learning techniques. What You’ll Do Analyze and interpret live field data from Red Meters’ industrial process control systems. Apply physics-based models alongside advanced deep learning to validate sensor data and system performance. Design, implement, and refine ML models using real-world time-series and sensor datasets. Spot anomalies, trends, and performance benchmarks in large, noisy industrial datasets. Support improvements to analytics workflows and system optimization. Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical teams. What We’re Looking For (Absolute Requirements) Physics-based experience: Demonstrated ability to apply physics principles to data science, modeling, or real-world systems. Senior-level undergraduate OR recent graduate (BS, MS, PhD) in Physics, Engineering, or closely related STEM fields. Proficient in Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn), SQL, and visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn). Deep learning expertise with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras (with applied use in real-world datasets). Strong understanding of OOP and ability to build scalable model implementations. Experience with time-series analysis and signal processing. Must be able to commute daily to Orlando, FL and eligible to work in the U.S. Bonus Points For Familiarity with ML Ops workflows, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and production-level pipelines. Hands-on work with industrial instrumentation, physical sensors, or real-time control systems. Strong interest in bridging theory (physics) with practice (engineering + machine learning). Training & Mentorship You’ll work directly with Red Meters’ in-house engineers, data scientist, CTO, and C-suite leaders. While mentorship is provided, this role expects you to contribute independently from day one. Why Red Meters?
