The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data management, leadership, and information technology systems, with a strong background in IT, business, and mathematics. • *Primary Duties/Responsibilities:** + Develop and execute strategies to analyze and manage complex data sets, uncovering valuable business insights. + Manage and grow a team of data scientists and analysts ensuring alignment with organizational goals. + Develop predictive models for energy demand forecasting, building performance optimization and grid optimization. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. + Present technical topics effectively to varied audiences and establish strong relationships across the organization and directly with clients. + Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. • *Qualifications** • *Education/Experience/Background:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required. + 5 to 10 years of experience in a BI, reporting, data science, data analytics role. + Some people Management experience preferred. • *Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** + Knowledge of building or utility energy data is highly desirable. + Strong expertise in data science tools and platforms, including Python, R, Anaconda, Jupyter Notebook, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. + Knowledge of big data solutions, cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and database management systems. + Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks. + Comprehensive understanding of data privacy policies, data protection regulations, and best practices for data governance. + Business acumen with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies that align with organizational goals. + Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. + Strong problem-solving and root cause identification skills, coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. • *Required Certification/Licenses/Training:** + Relevant certifications in data science, analytics, or big data technologies are a plus. • *Additional Information** • *Pay Rate:** $130000 to $155000 per year. • *Benefits:** Veolia's comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental and vision insurance.
