Job Summary The Director of Data Engineering will spearhead the development and management of our data infrastructure, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient data systems to support our payroll and HCM solutions. This role will oversee data warehousing, reporting, and analytics using tools like Snowflake, Tableau, and/or PowerBI, while driving the implementation of AI to uncover operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities • Data Infrastructure Leadership: Design, build, and maintain a scalable data architecture using Snowflake as the primary data warehouse to support payroll and HCM data processing. • Data Pipeline Development: Oversee the creation and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure seamless data ingestion, transformation, and storage. • Reporting and Analytics: Lead the development of advanced reporting and visualization solutions using Tableau or PowerBI to deliver actionable insights to internal teams and clients. • AI Implementation: Drive the integration of AI and machine learning models to identify operational efficiencies, improve payroll processing, and enhance HCM workflows. • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing data engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data quality, security, and compliance standards, ensuring alignment with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOC). • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to align data initiatives with company objectives and client needs. • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize data systems for performance, cost, and scalability to support business growth.
